Good to Know

Are the journeys really fully private?

Yes. Every journey is conducted exclusively for you and your travel companions — with your own driver and vehicle, with no connection to other groups. One exception is the short Jiuzhaigou extension from Chengdu: this is run as a VIP small-group journey with 4–12 participants.

Do I need a visa for China?

According to China's National Immigration Administration (NIA, as of 17 February 2026), nationals of Germany, Austria and Switzerland holding a valid ordinary passport may enter China visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism, business, visiting relatives or friends, exchange visits or transit. We review the applicable entry requirements together with you before departure. For journeys to Tibet, we support the required permit process within the applicable regulations. Source: nia.gov.cn.

In which language will I be accompanied on site?

Consultation and trip planning take place in German or English, whichever you prefer. On site, our journeys are accompanied by English-speaking tour guides. The scope and form of the accompaniment are agreed with you individually for each journey and set out transparently in your travel proposal.

How does the booking process work?

You send us a non-binding inquiry with your preferences. We discuss your interests, pace and comfort in a personal conversation, create a curated travel proposal with a transparent budget, and accompany you after confirmation, through to and during your journey. No contract is formed through the website itself — together with your personal offer, you receive the legally required pre-contractual information, the applicable standard form and the travel terms beforehand.

Can a journey be adapted to my wishes?

Yes. Every journey composition is a starting point. Duration, route, accommodations and experiences are tailored to your interests and your pace.

How far in advance should I inquire?

Since we deliberately design only a small number of journeys per month, we recommend an early, non-binding inquiry — especially for popular travel periods and for Tibet journeys, which require advance permit processing.

Is my inquiry non-binding?

Yes. Your inquiry is initially non-binding and serves as the basis for a personal conversation, in which we discuss your preferences, pace and budget before a concrete travel proposal is created.
